February 2009. Every so often, I figure it’s a good idea to add something new under About, so let me share this non-Brooklyn picture.
I like to bring home rocks from trips. I started photographing them for organizational purposes, otherwise they all start to look alike.

December 2008. I heart snapshots, and when I had the urge to do a photo blog, it came down to two possible subjects, my home borough or my local feline. Since I hope others will look at Brooklynpix, common sense won out. For the moment, anyway.
found your blog surfing brooklyn tags. glad you didn’t go with the cat.
Nice blog. I use to live there, so it is fun to see the old neighborhood.
yeah, i love it here. thanks for taking a look. i just picked up a book of poetry at the library. not sure if you’re into poetry, but it’s really moving not only because it’s well-written, but because it’s a poet who writes about brooklyn and new york. you should check it out (once i return it
)… “floating city” by anne pierson wiese. in the same way your pictures subtle, simple moments, she does with words.
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
Love the concept. Love the subject.
Putting you up on my blogrolls:
