Last night, our group arrived at Prospect Park just as the fireworks were about to begin, at the stroke of midnight, so we ran into the closest entrance. Instead of being at the ideal viewing location, near Grand Army Plaza, we found ourselves on a hill near Third Street. Trees obstructed the view and gloved fingers prevented better photographs. The fireworks were nice, but the cold made a 15-minute display feel as long as the Macy’s 4th of July show.
Nice photos but you would have to be half-crazy to stand out there in Prospect Park this past NYE! It was freezing…. But I like the tree effect very much.. nice shot!
