Taqueria, 7th Avenue
You got your beans, guacamole, rice, taco, sour cream, and a couple of tortilla chips. My friend declared it all quite tasty. Fish tacos are a west coast phenomenon that traveled north from seaside Baja California, Mexico, to San Diego and points elsewhere in California, then across the US.
The Taqueria has been in the neighborhood for years. The food’s not bad. The place is cash and carry, though, and they don’t post their prices, so sometimes you’re in for a surprise at the register. I’m pretty sure they arbitrarily charge based on how much money they think you’ve got on you.
I can’t stand places that don’t list their prices… you always feel like you’re being ripped off, I agree. I hope the food was worth it! It looks mighty tasty… 🙂
I love fish tacos.
