Lovely little catkins. The American pussywillow, salix discolor, is one of the earliest signs of spring.

Crate & Barrel sells stems of polyester and wire pussywillows for $14.95, so for about $150 this $5 natural arrangement could be replicated. While it would last indefinitely, isn’t that missing the point?
