And so are the branches, but the piney forest is a painting on the wall. The chances of seeing an owl in the wild are practically zero (and even less in Brooklyn), so this was an opportunity to observe a magnificent bird. The background was a little Twin Peaks, but I didn’t mind.
A very nice post. I like the misty or foggy background and I like that owl. I wish we had some owls here like your owl there.

I always think that the owl is a noble little creature. Keeps his own counsel, and does his thing— performing a valuable service (rodent control). We should all do so well as our friend the Owl.
Unlike Mr. Lincoln, for me to take a decent bird picture, it has to be at the zoo, with the background already figured out and photo-ready.
