Which way is north?

Listen to what the moss is telling you – turn around and walk in the other direction. Here in Brooklyn moss is more abundant on the north side of trees. Were you to go below the equator, the opposite would be true; the south sides of trees would be more mossy. Regardless of location, moss requires a moist and shady environment to thrive; this side street is an ideal location.
