This isn’t the first time I’ve mentioned the cupcakes from Downtown Atlantic. It’s my favorite cupcake shop, because it’s the only one I frequent, and that’s infrequently. I like the idea of homemade versions of mass-produced products. It’s so post-industrial, embracing the idea of a Hostess cupcake, then improving it by making it in your own kitchen. I am shocked by how $$$ cupcakes can go for. Mark has been entranced by Crumbs, which are insane.
