Bay Ridge’s famous “gingerbread house” was lucky; the giant tree fell towards the street. Most, but not all, of the trees that came down in the storm over a week ago have been cleaned up.

this shot is perfect.
makes me think of a tv programme i used to watch
Most photographed and well-known house in Brooklyn, I think (at least, THAT part of Brooklyn!) That house is a bit of a local legend. But for the wind and/or the direction that the tree fell, coulda been no more gingerbread house.
I hope somebody with a big fireplace lives nearby, at least!
A load of trees fell here on Long Island also.
