Morrie Yohai, inventor of the Cheez Doodle, died on July 27. The fluffy cornmeal tubes with the cheddar dusting have been around since the late 1950’s. (I think the crunchy Cheez Doodles were an industrial accident that proved to have consumer appeal.) Brooklyn consumes its fair share of the things. (It wasn’t three weeks ago I mentioned Cheez Doodles in the blog – without Doodles, the balls would not exist.)

I heard this on the news a day or two ago. I love your little tribute.
I love those, although we call them cheese curls!
