Poor Green City, don’t they know they should appeal their Grade C rating so they can post a Grade Pending Sign? That way their discerning customers would not be scared away. I feel a sense of pathetic accomplishment since this is the first Grade C sign I’ve seen posted.

I’m from the UK so don’t understand the rating – can you explain? What’s grade C?
A rating means a restaurant is clean, that’s the rating most places get from the Dept. of Health. B means a place has a few violations, there is room for improvement. People still eat there. Restaurants can always appeal and post a “Grade Pending” sign, that’s why you never see the dreaded grade C. It means there are major problems – mice, unsanitary conditions, etc. A restaurant with a C is close to being shut down. I wouldn’t eat there!
