It’s surreal: the nearly-set sun is brighter than the lights of lower Manhattan. Is this a once-in-a-lifetime event? There are so many questions. Hopefully power will be restored soon.

It’s terrible. I got my power on only after 2 days here on Long Island. Others are suffering still. I th ink part of the problem is we have such and outdated system here. Everything needs to be upgraded to modern technology one day. The electric grid is stuck in the 20th century.
