American Girl goes to Coney Island

This colorful tableau is in the window of the American Girl store on Fifth Avenue, Manhattan. Do they really have to give Rebecca, as she is called, plastic pickles, bagel, and an American flag? (Buy the accessories for $36.)

Though she looks prim and proper, this American Girl is living large at Coney, dating two fellows, a sword swallower from the sideshow and a beefy Brighton Beach type who wears an undersized bikini regardless of the weather. Being an American Girl is damn good fun!
