Another decorative item for fall: Indian corn. But unlike a gourd, if you found yourself on a desert island with Indian corn and the right equipment, it could be eaten. You could make popcorn or grind the kernels and make cornbread or lots of other things.

The people I saw on Atlantic Avenue this weekend were not going out of their way to shop; they were exhibiting usual behavior: taking, texting, walking, or doing all of those things at the same time.
Chilly breezy off the Gowanus

There may have been miniature whitecaps on the canal, that’s how windy it was on the Ninth Street drawbridge. It’s time to get out the gloves and other cold weather gear.
