On this side of the door there’s a police sticker and a No Trespassing sign. Okay, but it’s what’s on the other side that I’m curious about.

On Bergen Street, off Smith, there’s a building with a lot of personality. The blue wooden door, comprised of two smaller doors, one larger than the other, especially draws attention. It has a farmhouse feel, but it’s more likely a remnant of commercial or light industrial use. This block used to have a number of welding and ironworking businesses. You know, before the yuppies moved in and tried to take over all the real estate.

Another day of giveaways. This time it’s doors that an elementary school is tossing out. They are nice and sturdy, made of solid wood, and as befits their background, safety glass is in the windows.
