The bus moves slowly. You might have time to jump off, get a snack, and run and catch up with the bus. More likely, you’ll be standing at the bus stop for half an hour eating crap out of a paper bag while you wait for the next bus.

This stretch of Court Street has more brand-name outlets than the average block. You’ll also note the woman waiting for the bus has been to Trader Joe’s.

You can see many things from the bus; it’s just a little smeared. This is no ordinary car wash, it’s the Vegas Auto Spa. The understand the “spa” but not the “Vegas.” Could be that the car thing eludes me – I’m sitting on the B67 after all.

Where Atlantic Avenue begins, by the river, used to be a no-man’s land where the buses turned around. Then the playground and the seasonal Governors Island ferry dock opened. Now it’s almost pedestrian friendly.

That flag is really blocking the view out the bus, so it’s just as well there isn’t much to look at. We know the long weekend is coming up and don’t need the flag to remind us! By Monday, Memorial Day, we’ll feel a little patriotic.
