The Cadman area, with Manhattan in the distance. I especially notice two things: the huge apartment buildings on the left, and the soccer field, which is forgotten except by those who use it.

That man needs to loosen the tie and be happy he’s wearing an anti-hipster hat and that it’s the end of the work week.
How do you like your Cupid?

Call me old fashioned, but I like my Cupids to look cherubic, not like a big-headed founding father with wings coming out of its back.

I am thinking maybe this is a seasonal clearance event that Martin puts on. The green sign looks like it’s spent some time in the window before.

Lately, everywhere you go, coconut water is for sale. It’s shaping up to be the green tea of the summer of 2011.

Looks like a ye olde instant photo with the New York Post photoshopped in. The tabloid’s always had stories like the one on the cover about Jets’ QB Mark Sanchez romancing a NJ high school girl.

It’s nice to see someone dressed as if they’d just stepped out of the past. The Sprite snaking toward her mouth is mildly disconcerting, though.
Working on Court Street

Though they don’t acknowledge each other, the tabloid vendor and man handing out pamphlets for an Indian restaurant give me an identical look.
