The kid’s putting on his shirt in front of the ice cream store. It’s the beach, so I don’t think “no shirt, no shoes, no service” applies. He could be aiming for one out of two, though.

Ice cream in them Ample Hills

Ample Hills Creamery, on Vanderbilt Avenue, takes its name from Walt Whitman and its money from your pockets… the website is cutesy (happy chickens and cows, really?), but the flavors pull you in. The ice cream is quite tasty, but I have to admit, the uptown prices and twee atmosphere will keep me an occasional customer rather than a regular.

We know spring and warmer weather are officially here when found objects on the street come from the Mr. Softee truck. It’s a fact that few people like cakes cones for their flavor. They are a holder for soft serve ice cream, not really meant to be consumed.
