This place is still open for business. The washers and dryers have to be newer than the facade. Long ago someone made a vow not to spend one penny more than they had to in order to keep the launderette going.

To live in New York, unless you’ve got lots of money, is to have more than a passing acquaintance with laundromats. This one looks clean enough, but it’s cluttered with detergent bottles. The place is open; you can’t see the lone customer because he’s putting things in a machine by the wall.

Socially speaking, it’s probably the same thing to be taking pictures of washing machines as doing the laundry on a weekend evening. I’m going to focus on the funky pink lettering rather than ponder that question.
