I close my eyes and I see snow. There may be more this weekend, on Sunday. Maybe then we’ll get to have some spring?

The Friday snowstorm: last of the season? It didn’t add up to much and looked nice coming down. I think I’m having (prematurely) nostalgia for the winter and the snow that didn’t fall.

The best part was when the snow was just starting to fall. There was nothing to do but wait and see how much it would be. No use watching TV because they had nothing new to say.

January’s almost over, and what is there to show for it? Some rain and cold. This guy looks like he’s making a mad dash for the Greenwood Park beer garden, on the right, which is open and winterized. I haven’t been there lately; I like my winter drinking establishments small and cozy or near my TV and pets.

Sunsets this week have been magnificent. Maybe it’s the cold? The green reflection on the house is also unexplained. I’m ready for some temperate weather and boring sunsets.

What can I say? The sun hasn’t been out for days and days. It’s getting to someone else, also, who seems to be drinker who is disgusted with housewares catalogs.

I exaggerate. Many people are playing hooky from work through Friday. They are the ones eating Kit Kats and tossing giant red bows out on the curb.
