South Park Slope has officially arrived. The giveaway is not the new constructions or the bars or restaurants, but the cars that circle in the evening looking for parking spots.

Spring vacation is coming up, so the kids advise leaving the school bus where it is. Being New Yorkers, they learn early the value of a good parking spot. I don’t know if multiple meters have to be fed for an extra-long vehicle – there are special rules for school buses.

Like little dogs that are convinced they are big, the police tricycles think they are cruisers, big vehicles that can do what they want because of their size. Who else would park on the grass like that and get away with it?
