From the ye olde publicity department, here’s a photo of the big-sky gas station. The gas wasn’t selling, but the coffee and snacks in the convenience store were.

Stores for rent on Atlantic

As Barclays Center goes up, so does the number of stores for rent in the area. Small boutiques that occupied spaces near Atlantic Mall have vanished over the last two years. We’ll see what the area looks like when the Nets settle in.

Found some AC @ the Park Slope Ale House

Found some air conditioning on a hot day, then the hunger kicked in; needed a beer to wash it down, then stayed to watch the Mets lose. The Park Slope Ale House was a pleasant place to be – food and beer were good, and the sole stroller occupant was on good behavior. (Bob Ojeda’s doing the post-game on the TV.)
