It’s rare to see a square of sidewalk that bears the marks of so many. I count two dogs and about four human footprints. Usually, there’s a flimsy barrier set up around setting cement, and a guy sitting on an upturned bucket who appears to be dozing until you get within half a foot of the precious drying sidewalk.

What happens when they are mixed together? This ornament, this creature, looks as surprised to find itself sitting in a front yard. Should you prefer a more classical motif, there’s a grecianesque planter adorned with grape bunches to the rear.

Signs of spring: those yellow, purple, and white flowers that start appearing in March … crocuses or croci, call them what you will. The cement bunnies had to endure the winter, but they look just right with the flowers.
