It’s unnerving to get off the subway at Stillwell and find almost everything closed, even Nathan’s. A few stores are starting to open up, though, and even a boardwalk bar. By next summer, we will see the old Coney again, I predict.

New Jersey looks so lovely at this moment; and there is the Statue of Liberty, to the right of the sun. Today’s weather was shockingly nice for a fall weekend.
