The lines are gone and rationing is over. It’s business as usual at the local gas stations.

Gas rationing is in effect; there were no lines at Shell on Atlantic. But there was a photo student and her model taking pictures in the bright light. She said, Sure, take some pictures. The cops keeping an eye on the gas station thought it was rather amusing.

Parents with young ‘uns, mark your calendars for the upcoming screenings. If you’re really lucky, the theater will show a grown-up movie (non-animated) and no one will bug you or harrumph when your infant starts making sounds.

It’s a purveyor of meat, at 222 Court Street. I’m no fan of the carne, but I do like the neon. This shop, around since 1917, has such a loyal allegiance that it’s hard to find anyone who will say a negative word about this place and all the meat, game, and gourmet products it has for sale.

I find the name rather cutesy and confusing, since the burgers are not all made of beef, but since it opened a few days ago, people have been crowding Mooburger on Court Street. It’s organic and tastefully decorated, the anti-5 Guys.

All of a sudden it’s too cold for sidewalk dining. Shorts after dark are scant for many of us. The doors are flung open because the indoor temperature is about 90 from the tortillas on the flat-top grill.
