is this fruit week on brooklynpix?
This is your yearly reminder about the mysterious citrus called the pummelo. Buy soon, or you may have to wait until next year. I’d go for a big green one, because the yellow pummelos say oversized grapefruit. The price on pummelos is down this year by about 50 cents.

The frost and snow wreaked havoc on the citrus in Florida. No, wait, I think these are beets, not oranges. Some cooks find the red ones a little ordinary (and messy).
