High Dive, on Fifth Avenue and Carroll Street, is too clean and wholesome to be called divey, but I’m not complaining. Some restaurants and bars in Brooklyn don’t have air conditioning, but when it’s ninety-plus degrees out, I want to be cool. That’s how I ended up in High Dive – I stayed for the beer selection and the free popcorn.
