New York has been on a heightened state of alert. A patrol boat like this, from the NYC Fire Department, is not an unusual site, though in the vast river, with Manhattan in the background, it looks so tiny.

Another gumby mobile

I’m collecting gumby mobiles from each decade; this Chevy is the 1950’s entry. Pastel colors were popular for cars in that era, and two-tone paint jobs were common, also. This jalopy is a stand-out in so many ways.
