Rent is high on Church Avenue around East 3rd; that’s why some stores turn over so quickly. What moves in: nail salons, cell phone stores, and junky clothing places.

No arias were coming from that mouth. It takes a serious level of tired to lean on a lamp post while waiting for the green light. Blame it on the four-day work week. By the time it’s over, four days feel more like five or six.

And I don’t park it on the sidewalk. If you want to get one of these things for yourself, head on down to the next police auction – they are cheaper than a used cruiser. When and where you can drive it, I don’t know.

Some areas of Brooklyn got pummeled by the weekend storm. This neighborhood had it easier – the sidewalks were littered with small branches, twigs, trash, and wrecked umbrellas, that’s all.

The weather forecasters barely mentioned that there was more than an inch on the ground during this morning’s commute. I guess we are seasoned veterans, having been through one big snowstorm already this season.
