We call these red licorice, though others will argue that they aren’t licorice at all. I chanced upon this arrangement in the street around 6:45 PM. It looks like one person was explaining parallel lines to another then gave up when some cars came through.

A hat on a fence is a rather lonely sight, but this one is so distinct it’s less likely someone would take it and wear it around the neighborhood. The hat probably ended up in the school’s lost and found box.
