Linsanity has struck downtown Brooklyn, by the Atlantic Mall. Knicks’ shirts are flying off the shelves, but everyone’s ho-hum about the NJ Nets. Construction on the Barclays Center seems to be on schedule and local traffic is currently a nightmare. Go, Jeremy!

The Nets’ arena is growing by the day, and what’s most striking is that the sides of the building are going to be up against the roadway. It’s a narrow fit. The nearby intersections are hellish, but now traffic cops are frequently posted at the three main lights, so that helps.

There’s no construction going on at the Atlantic Yards project, yet it’s like a construction site. How is that? The large unsightly building in the background is home to Target and other stores.
