It was getting dark, so imagine me picking up this photogenic but food-related GARBAGE between my thumb and index finger and walking with it home. What is surprising is how recognizable this cardboard is. Look at the six white dots where the Twinkie filling was injected.

Some people in NYC think that the city gets hosed down every night and that litter placed near a trash can is the same as litter placed in a trash can. In some areas where the cans were routinely overflowing, the Department of Sanitation removed them altogether. That was their solution to trash on the street.
