Beautiful weather down at the Coffey Street Pier in Red Hook. You would hardly know it, from looking at this area, that the neighborhood is still recovering from the devastation of Hurricane Sandy.

It’s going to be gray and unsettled today, but the sun is going to be shining as hot as a cupcake. Tomorrow we should see more normal conditions.

Decorations for St. Patrick’s Day will stay up this week because shamrocks add color, and it’s a neutral day compared to Easter and Passover. I also like pictures of people walking in a line for no reason.

Spring is about to bust out, maybe after the latest storms end. The trees are starting to bloom, and the grass and other plants almost look green.
