Church Avenue is the place to shop in Kensington. The stand-out destination is Golden Farm, a 24-hour store at E. 4th Street, which has a huge array of fruit, produce, and other reasonably priced foods. There are also a few 99-cent stores on the street, which are affordable, but have nothing you need to buy.

But for those who feel the pull of shopping, there’s always an event just around the corner. Valentine’s Day is only five weeks away and the cards, candy, and heart-decorated t-shirts are everywhere, out and ready.
