Buy a kid’s meal, get a plastic toy. This Spock is the best of the Star Trek figurines. Bobbleheads, as a genre, are obviously in trouble. I don’t mind Spock’s huge head, but the hand, fingers spread in Vulcan salute, are sausagey and comical. If I was a fan of the franchise, I’d call it disrespectful. (The fast food place uses the same case to display all the kid toys, that’s why Maggie from the Simpsons, a remainder from another promo, is there.)

He even gets the girl in the new Star Trek. Kirk is good, but those Vulcan ears rule the movie. It’s an entertaining couple hours. I’m also a fan once more of the Pavilion Theater. It’s getting threadbare, but far superior to the Regal Court Street, where I took in that animal movie a couple weeks ago. During Star Trek, the audience was respectful and made sounds (claps, exclamations, chortles, etc.) at the appropriate times. It’s not too much to ask for.
The colorful second floor snack bar isn’t open during the day. (You can always get food and drink on the first floor.) They serve your average movie fare, though a member of our group declared the Pavilion nachos to be above average.
