In Sunset Park, kids were kicking a ball, a woman was reading, and families were picnicking. No one was looking at the views of the water, downtown Manhattan, or even New Jersey.

Brooklyn Bridge Park expands every season; work continues on this grand waterfront project. Not far from where this picture was taken there’s a new grassy slope with views of the harbor and lower Manhattan.
