Sigh… it wouldn’t be the same with an electronic book. When you see someone reading an ebook, you can’t gauge their involvement, whether they just started, are in the middle, or if they are racing to finish the last few pages.

Reading an e-book while walking, wearing color-coordinated shirt and shoes, and sporting a pointy hairdo – these are advanced skills. An average pedestrian, such as myself, aims to do one thing, like carry a magazine and not trip over cracks in the sidewalk.

Sometimes you just have walk and read. The sidewalk is smooth here, but on many blocks you need to pay abundant attention as a pedestrian. This guy is engrossed in a Batman comic.
