Whew, yesterday and today we’ve been having a taste of warmer, humid weather – this weekend is the symbolic beginning of summer, remember. The train air conditioning felt really good. FYI, that speck on top of the Brooklyn Bridge is an American flag. Many backyard flags will make their first appearance of the season on Monday, during barbecues.

I have seen ‘The day after tomorrow’ yesterday. All these desaster movies make NY an icon of destruction to be… I always have to think of that when I see a picture of the skyline of New York….
